The Order Incorporates: The Military Order Knights of Christ, Temple of Jerusalem.

In Latin: Ordo Militae Christi Templi Heirosolymitant.
The Sovereign Military Order of the
Temple of Jerusalem.

In French: Ordre Souverain et Militaire du Temple de Jerusalem.

Nature

 

The Order is an Organization of Non Masonic Knights Templars.

The Order is an Ecumenical Christian Organization.

The Order is the continuous Order of the Original Knight Templar Order in Scotland.

The Order is Apolitical.

 

Aims

 

The Aim of the Order is to serve God and Scotland.

 

Activities

 

In pursuit of the aim to serve God and Scotland, members of the Order engage in activities which:

Help preserve Scotlands Traditions and Heritage, Music and Language.

Support Charitable interests.

Support Religious Freedom for all people.
 

Does the Order need new members?

Yes of course! The members of Chivalry are the life blood of the order.

 

What can the Order do for me?

This is the wrong question! Templars ask instead; What can I do for the Order? Membership is quite literally an opportunity to serve.

 

Is membership available on application?

Yes, Admission is carried out by informal/formal vetting and security check procedures by our vetting committee.

 

How are new members introduced?

Usually by a personal friend or by contact with the Order. Anyone seriously interested is welcome to make contact with the Order, who will respond with an opportunity to apply; and also give opportunity to attend a meeting of the Order informally. Also giving applicant/s the opportunity to ask questions of members.

 


 

 

 

 

 

 












 



 

 

 

 MEMBERSHIP

 

 

Membership is restricted to professing Christians only. We do not accept past or present Freemasons into our Christian Order. We uphold General Assembly, Synod of Anglican communion, other Churches strict opinion that it is not compatible to be a Christian and a Freemason.

 

The Order welcomes members from all ethnic backgrounds without restriction on opportunity.

 

We also practice equal opportunities for all applicants.

 

Preceptors and Officers of the Order have the authority to admit Companion at arms (squires).

The Grand Prior or his Deputy only can admit or promote a Knight.

 

There is also an Honorary grade of membership with admission by vote from the majority of members.
