The Lubeck letter stating Scotlands Freedom again.

Andrew Murray and William Wallace, leaders of the army of the Kingdom of Scotland and the community of the realm, to the prudent and discreet men and dear friends, the mayors and people of Lubeck and hamburg, greetings and perpetual increase of sincere friendship.
It has been made known to us by trustworthy merchants of the Kingdom of Scotland that you out of your own goodwill have shown counsel, help and favour in all causes and business touching us and the said merchants, although there have been no previous deserts of ours, wherefore our thanks are so much the more due to you, as well as fitting remuneration, for which we desire you to be so good as to cause proclamation to be made among your merchants that they can now have safe access with their merchandise to all the ports of the Kingdom of Scotland, for, thanks be to God, the Kingdom of Scotland has now, by battle, been recovered from the power of the English.
Farewell.
Given at Haddington, in Scotland, the 11th day of October in the year of Grace, one thousand two hundred and ninety-seven.
